Warning from the Russian Embassy in Iran

Recently, a number of Iranian companies issued fake FAN ID’s and tickets for the EURO-2020 in St. Petersburg to Iranian citizens for the purpose of entry into Russia.

The Embassy draws attention to the fact that these documents do not give the right to enter the Russian Federation. If foreign citizens arrive in Russia on the basis of these fake documents, they will be denied permission to cross the border and they will be deported.

We would also like to point out the frequent discrepancy between the real purpose of the trip of Iranian citizens to Russia and the stated one. We record attempts to come to Russia in order to cross the border with European states illegally, which also constitutes a violation of the law that entails criminal liability.

We remind you that due to the outbreak of coronavirus infection, and in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 635-r, entry for Iranian citizens is still restricted. In case there is a change in the current procedure, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Islamic Republic of Iran will announce it additionally.
